FSDA : Core Values

FSDA firmly believes in the power and benefits of synergy.

As our company name implies - Focussed Development Alliance -
we approach our business relationships in a spirit of partnership.

Our core objective: to help you to gain business advantage from synergy, complementarity, collaboration.

Synergy is often described as:
"
the whole is worth more than the sum of the individual parts ".

It's more than that, however.

To benefit from synergy, everyone has to "pull in the same direction".

Importantly, the vision of "where we are going" has to be shared.

And there needs to be a common understanding of how we get from "here" to "there".

Enterprises - and indeed, entire industries - whose business success depends on innovation-intensive technologies & systems,
such as microelectronics, software-intensive embedded systems and eCommerce - are in a continual process of change.

These are businesses where it all happens at "clock speed" - the emergence of new technologies, applications - and fierce competition.

For those who develop and market such products and services, there are huge downside risks in taking the approach of "let's do it ourselves".
Considerations of financial risks, competitive pressures, - and the ever-reducing time available to satisfy customer demands,
and to get to market - place an ever-increasing emphasis on "partnership", "collaboration".

That is, achieving all the positive benefits of synergy, through developing alliances.

FSDA's experience demonstrates, nonetheless, that there are vitally important factors underpinning the success of business collaboration,
no matter whether your objective is
- to obtain finance,
- to develop new technologies or products,
- to establish a joint business venture, or,
- to exploit new business opportunities.

These factors represent our Core Values. They are:

v

ensure there is a shared vision

v

ensure all partners add value to each other

v

promote a working atmosphere of trust, teamwork, and integrity

v

encourage communication between everyone who is involved

v

always look to establish synergy ("1+1 > 2")

v

promote an atmosphere of mutual confidence by focussing on respective strengths

v

plan for the unforeseen - establish flexibility in reaching objectives

v

expect differences of opinion - and manage for change

v

keep a pragmatic outlook on relationships and work
